Microsoft Outlook Working Offline Issue | How To Fix?

Microsoft Outlook working offline is not actually an error but Outlook’s feature that lets you access the Mail even when your internet is disconnected. However, when your Microsoft Outlook is working offline, you cannot send, receive, or load any new emails. To be able to send and receive emails, you must reconnect to the internet again and switch back to online mode in Outlook.   1. First of all, Launch Outlook and ensure that it is working offline. To know if your Microsoft Outlook is Working Offline, look for the Work Offline message switch in the Send/Receive tab.
  2. After making sure that your Microsoft Outlook is working offline, in the Send/ Receive toolbar click on the Work Offline button to switch back to Online mode.

  4. When you’ll be back to online mode, the Working Offline banner will disappear.

In case you still can’t switch to Online Mode and see a Disconnected message on your screen, check that your internet is working fine.

  • You can also try sending emails from your Outlook Mail to see if you are back online.
  • If you can’t send emails from there even when your internet connection is okay, try accessing your account from Outlook Web and see if you can send or receive emails from there.
  • Lastly, you can try updating your Outlook Mail app and remove and set up your account again.
